The True Story Behind the “Armed Militia Occupation”
(from “Conservative Treehouse”)
This could soon explode if the Feds go in with guns and start shooting first, asking questions later. Yes, it IS related to the previous “Bundy Ranch” standoff. No, it’s not an “Armed Siege.”
There’s a lot here, but the quick summary:
Without going into all the past problems they have had with the Feds… THIS case is about:
In 2006 ranchers started a planned fire on their property. It got out of control and went a few acres onto Federal land. They put the fire out themselves.
In 2011 the Feds labeled them “domestic terrorists” and “arsonists” and took them to court for the fire.
In 2012, they went to trial and the judge and prosecutor repeatedly tampered with the jury and broke the law to try to get a conviction on terrorism and arsonist grounds.
In 2013 they plea bargained and got 12 months and 3 month (not enough evidence of bad intent to support longer sentences)
They served this time in jail and were released. They also had to pay $400,000 to the Feds.
In 2015 the Feds reopened a closed case, appealed a case (that they had already served time for) and DEMANDED that the two men serve FIVE YEARS instead. Also they demanded that the ranchers MUST sell their ranch to the Feds.
Not sure what’s there that the Feds want to bad but that doesn’t seem right to me. Why the strongarm tactics to get that ranch?
The Feds are willing to violate law and human rights to get this property? What, are there bodies buried on it? Or are they planning to sell it to politicians to resell for billions (as the case with the Harry Reid deal in Nevada?) Are there mineral deposits under it?
I dunno what the Feds’ motive is.
I do know that Tyranny is defined as:
“Cruel, unreasonable, or arbitrary use of power or control”
It would seem that tossing people in prison so they are forced to sell their land to you fits that perfectly.
Anyway, read it yourself. See if you can make out why there’s such a mad rush to railroad this family.
