Geneva May Lift Ban On Fortune Tellers

Do you think they saw this in their crystal balls ??  The Geneva City Council is looking at a proposal to repeal the city ordinance that  bans fortune tellers, astrologers, mediums, clairvoyants and palm readers from doing business in the City. Courts across the country have rejected outright bans as ” violations of protected speech”.  Geneva’s ban has been in place since 1968 . The Council has the option of amending the ordinance or leaving things alone. They will discuss the issue Wednesday night.

Are you kidding me?

I think the thing that surprised me the most was that they STARTED the ban in 1968. Not 1868, or 1768… 1968!

What’s next?
Getting rid of the law that forbids horses from bathing in swimming pools?

  1. Pat Russell says:

Why would you ban that anyway? Not like legal gambling is it?
