Former President Jimmy Carter On Donald Trump: He’s ‘Completely Malleable’

“…Trump has proven already he’s completely malleable…I don’t think he has any fixed (positions) he’d go the White House and fight for. On the other hand, Ted Cruz is not malleable. He has far right-wing policies he’d pursue if he became president.”

That folks is the definition of a “Populist.” You say whatever you think people want to hear. It’s very little different from that buddy everyone has that nods and says “yeah yeah yeah” to everything you say…then the same thing to what everyone else says.

People say he’s “standing up to the media” or “standing up to Washington.” Is he? The media and Washington aren’t who he wants to impress. They also aren’t there AT the rallies he is speaking at.

Trump is an entertainer. He is a marketer. He doesn’t lead anyone. He doesn’t make anything. He doesn’t even really “run” his own company.

As he’s said himself before… “Oh well I have people I hire to do that for me.”

His job is to charm/intimidate/influence people. He is a schmoozer. He makes promises, praises, insults, does whatever he needs to do. He can do that because he has no principles to stop him.

Just ask him.

Many of these were recently before he started running for President.

I’m sincerely interested in how Donald Trump supporters can justify all this flip-flopping.

Has he really done a 180 degree turn in the last couple years?

Why?

Will it happen again once he gets into office?

Trump supporters (Trumpettes? Trumpers? Trumpies?)

Why do you claim that OTHERS are “flip floppers” when your candidate is clearly the worst offender in the race on changing his mind on the issues.

Is “winning” that important that the very things he says don’t matter? Are you willing to just blindly trust what he says this week and assume that he’s done “changing” on the issues?

He’s not even a “winner.”

I’ll leave bankruptcies and divorces out of this for now.

He lost Iowa.

He’s losing ground in New Hampshire, South Carolina and across the board nationally in polls.

He doesn’t even lead in polls vs Hillary Clinton.

(source: http://www.realclearpolitics.com and polls as listed)

Looks like Rubio and Cruz have a better shot to beat Hillary.

So… what is the appeal of Trump?

Seriously.

Someone explain it to me!

He is either unprincipled or a liar.

He is a loser.

He’s part of the same elites that he says he opposes. (Wall St, Clintons, Bushes, etc)

He’s the DEFINITION of an “insider” or “establishment” billionaire.

Not opinion.

Proven fact.

You can see it above.

Is it just wishful thinking?

Doesn’t it tell you anything that the media and Democrats WANT Trump to be nominated?

Do you really think they’d WANT a winner to be nominated by the GOP?

And yet the attacks are endless when I bring any of these inconvenent facts up.

My hunch is that having invested so much in Donald Trump that the diehards are simply unwilling (like Trump) to admit they are wrong.

Winners never admit they’re wrong, right?

Even if they lose.
