Memorial Day Table

Someone posted this and it kindled a memory.

In a military Chow Hall, it is customary to set up a Memorial Day Table or “Place for the Fallen” at the table.

We had one in Iraq.

It wasn’t as pretty of course.

A mortar round hit it.

Indirectly.

Just a bit of shrapnel.
