Hollywood Turns its Back on Martin Luther King, Jr Movie

Selma movie star declares “My Black Co-Stars Deserved Oscar Nominations!”
That is what the headlines say at least. Since when does any movie “deserve” an award, let alone an actor? One actress went so far as to claim that it should have been “guaranteed” an award given that it was released so close to Martin Luther King Jr Day.
So… by that logic any Christmas movie should AUTOMATICALLY win an award. Or any movie by an Irish-American director should automatically win if released near St. Patrick’s Day.
That’s just ridiculous.
I admittedly haven’t seen the movie. I also don’t agree with 90% of the “winners” in those awards contests. I don’t care.
However, let’s apply “Occham’s Razor” here.
Sure, all of Hollywood could be racist and out there to “get” a movie about Martin Luther King, Jr.
Or, it could just be a bad movie.
Hmmmm….. all of Hollywood is to blame…. or it’s a bad movie…
Your call.
Any movie star could say that. I would.
