Mad Max Returns to Big Screen in 2015

The original “Thunder Down Under” is set to return to theatres next spring.
Check it out for yourself!
What do you think?
Personally I’m kinda mixed on it.
The original Mad Max really wasn’t that high budget. Vehicles crashed, but rarely exploded. There was no theatrical score. No big budget actors. No real monster trucks.
It was a story of an every-man trying to make it in a wasteland of marauders and survivors, barely making it themselves. it was gritty and campy. The threat was just as much simply starving or running out of water, more than post-apoc biker gangs.
This whole thing seems a bit too big-budget and star-filled for my taste. I’ll watch it. It’s kind of required at this point.
I just don’t think it’ll be a real “Mad Max Sequel.” Maybe a new trilogy that happens to be called the same thing.
Then again, who knows. Maybe the trailer is misleading. Maybe Charlize Theron won’t screw it up. Maybe she can top Tina Turner and the Thunder Dome.
Nah.
Won’t be the same, he was a cop avenging the murders of his wife & child.

Yeah. Unless the new guy us too. Or maybe he regenerates like Dr Who.

Will it be as much a classic as the original movies? Hell no. Could it be good all on it’s own? Maybe. I think it’s really supposed to be a *gulp* reboot more than a sequel.

Well yeah… tough to really have Mel Gibson in the role at his age.
