GOP Staffer Forced to Resign For Being Rude

Judge for yourself if this is bad enough to cost someone their job:
“Dear Sasha and Malia, I get you’re both in those awful teen years, but you’re a part of the First Family, try showing a little class. At least respect the part you play. Then again your mother and father don’t respect their positions very much, or the nation for that matter, so I’m guessing you’re coming up a little short in the ‘good role model’ department. Nevertheless, stretch yourself. Rise to the occasion. Act like being in the White House matters to you. Dress like you deserve respect, not a spot at a bar. And certainly don’t make faces during televised public events.”
For reference, she was talking about the “pardoning the turkey” event at the White House.
Not all that “classy” for an official event with press, VIPs and dignitaries. Even the President is in a suit and tie. However, they are kids and they did much worse on their taxpayer-funded vacations around the world for fun. So, they can be excused for that.
I still don’t see how you can FIRE someone for simply giving an opinion on fashion however. You can’t say they’re just young. Plenty of teen celebrities out there who are regularly ripped apart far worse on gossip channels.
You can’t say they’re protected because they’re the First Family. Do you remember some of the wonderful things that were said about the young Bush girls? I think “slut” and “drunk” were used quite frequently as I recall.
A reprimand, an apology… fine. Whatever. If it helps you sleep at night and makes you think people give a damn what you say, GOP party.
It’s just much ado about nothing. No one was going to lose sleep over it.
So why lose a job over it?
Sheesh.
And they say teen girls are moody and irrational…

Anything qualifies as news anymore. To me this is a non-event. If GOP she must be fired. If DEM she made an error , oh well.
