DC Comics Movie Lineup Scores a B Minus

DC Unveils Upcoming “Super Hero” Movies

Thanks to our friends at “Nerds of Color” for the heads up on the upcoming movies from DC Comics coming out.

I have to admit, I’m not overly impressed with the lineup.

Batman, Justice League ok. I can see that.

I can even see Lego movies going over well.

Some of them just make me wonder about who they think their audience is.

The Flash?

Green Lantern… AGAIN?

One movie was honestly enough for Green Lantern. Some, like Aquaman need LESS than one movie. Negative one movie would probably make money. Yes, people would pay you NOT to make them watch it… or to see Aquaman get his butt kicked.

I’m serious. If you pitched that movie “Aquaman gets his butt kicked: The Movie” people would go see it. It would be very funny. And accurate.

See now that’s funny.

These wouldn’t even be funny movies. They’d be attempts to make SERIOUS movies that people REALLY don’t want to see.

Maybe they could just have the animators from Family Guy do all the movies.

Justice League for example

Or maybe they could re-release the original movies of these characters, such as Flash

Yes, that was the actual movie. It was that awful. But that made it AWESOME.

Is Linda Carter too old to be Wonder Woman again?

It was just campy enough to be enjoyable to watch.

I don’t think Marvel has much to worry about from this DC comics lineup.

Beyond Batman and Superman… it’s a pretty thin bench.

Now maybe a show from the villains point of view?

Where the Penguin, the Riddler and the Joker get a chance to win… or at least ALMOST win? Just a thought.

I know lots of guys who would pay to see Poison Ivy, Harley Quinn and Catwoman as the anti-Heroine trio.

  1. Pat Russell says:

Catwoman & Haley Quinn had there own comic books, can’t find Poison Ivy. Guaranteed all the guys would watch.
