Ebola Czar Only Lacking One Thing- A Reason to Be Ebola Czar

So let’s see… he worked for Ed Markey.

Then Tom Daschle.

Then Bill Clinton.

Then Janet Reno.

Then Al Gore.

Then Al Gore.

Then for John Kerry.

Then for the fat cats at AOL.

Then Joe Biden.

I see the Review left out his other qualifications….

Worked at Fanny Mae for awhile during the train wreck that set off the Recession of 2008. He wasn’t there to help fix it mind you. He was to “help them overcome some regulatory issues.” In other words, “here’s some money. Shut up and make the regulators go away.”

Oh, and running Obama’s disastrous “Stimulus Bill” funds distribution, greenlighting such fiascos as “Solyndra.” He’s known in Washington as a “fixer” who can toss money at a problem and make people shut up.

Hmmmm… I wonder how well that will work with a disease.

His wife is a “special environmental assistant to the Secretary of Defense.” Hmmm wonder what that’s all about.

So he’s basically done NOTHING but toss money at problems to make them go away and fail a lot in the meantime.

Awesome.

The best part is that he’s EXPECTED to fail. You can tell this by noting that he doesn’t report to the President (like other “Czars” do.) He reports to White House Advisor Lisa Monaco. I’m not sure how the “Counter-terrorism Assistant in Charge of Guantanamo Bay” is going to help but… well, hey whatever Mr. President. Could it be because she’s another highly trained lawyer and political hack able to spin a story?

He also reports to Natinonal Security Advisor Susan Rice (the one who has lied repeatedly about Benghazi among other things)… who reports to the President.

Maybe.

If he happens to be around.

Now the bigger question… why is he needed? Didn’t we already have someone doing this job? Haven’t we tossed enough money at the problem in the past 10 years?

Remember back a LOOOOONG time ago (two weeks ago) when the President said emphatically that we DID NOT NEED AN EBOLA CZAR?

Actually there already WAS one. Nicole Lurie, M.D., M.S.P.H., is the Assistant Secretary for Preparedness and Response (ASPR) at the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS).

She’s been there doing…something… since 2009. Why doesn’t the “Ebola Czar” meet with the head of the “Preparedness Response” person who used to be in charge of it? That would be the next step in the chain of command if the President doesn’t want to be involved directly.

Then Lurie reports to Jey Johnson (the Homeland Security chief), who reports to the President at staff meetings.

Again… if the President decides to show up for work.

Do a search for Dr. Lurie.

See what you get.

Well you get this story about how many billions of dollars were given to Dr. Lurie to help companies to develop new vaccines. Then there’s this story about how the SIGA Technologies sold the US gov’t a vaccine that apparently didn’t work, took the $443 million (most of it going into big Democrat campaign donor and owner Ron Perlman’s pockets) and then declared bankruptcy.

Where did we hear this before… oh yeah that’s right. That “Green” company “Solyndra” did the same exact thing! Only that was when the NEW “Ebola Czar” Ron Klain was in charge of the stimulus bill, and this time it was the OLD “Ebola Czar” Dr. Lurie.

Totally different right?

Let’s add this up… these two corrupt officials have together cost us:

$500 million (Solyndra)

$443 million (SIGA)

—

$943 million in wasted tax dollars.

But wait it gets BETTER!

Where do you think a lot of that $443 million came from?

You’ll LOVE this.

In a time of INCREASING budgets (yes, don’t believe the media. The budget has gone UP for disease research)…. there is evidence that she CUT funding for Ebola fighting drug cocktail ZMapp. (You know… the one that’s saved lives and we ran out of.)

So, to hide political corruption and incompetence, a corrupt and incompetent President is bringing on yet another corrupt and incompetent politician to lead a very likely LIFE AND DEATH MISSION.

Of course, it’s not to protect AMERICA. The President’s people made it very clear that the new “Ebola Czar’s” mission would not be first to protect America.

An official told Politico that Klain’s mission will be “to protect the American people by detecting, isolating and treating Ebola patients in this country are properly integrated but don’t distract from the aggressive commitment to stopping Ebola at the source in West Africa.”

Yes, because it would be quite a “distraction” to put our own peoples’ safety of the needs of Africa.

What were we thinking?

Besides, the Three Stooges were busy.

Now if you’ll excuse me, I have to get ready for drill this weekend.

Here’s to hoping my Guard unit doesn’t get called up for that stupid Ebola mission.

It would be fitting however. The last time we were in Iraq was then Hurricane Katrina hit and the Louisiana boys from the 256th were fit to be tied. Stuck in the sandbox while their homes and families were being destroyed.
