$500 million in Aircraft We Bought for the Afghan Air Force are Sold for Scrap
How much did they get for them? Well let’s see… at 6 cents a pound… G222’s are about 30,000 lbs apiece.
That’s about $1,800 each.
So, they scrapped sixteen $30 million aircraft for about $1,800 apiece.
Well, look on the positive side.
At least they didn’t give them directly to the Taliban!
