Canadian Federal Employees Union Fights for Paid Leave for “Spirit Friends.”

This sounds silly and…well… it is.

After all, if they’re “Spirits” they can’t die right?

Like a ghost?

Or do they mean your spiritual leader? Your priest? Or a good friend at church?

This is REALLY stretching it to get a few extra days off.

But it farther down the article gets pretty serious.

“If the federal government accepts all of these demands, federal workers would be working about 40% less than Canadians in private-sector jobs while earning 40% more.”

40% less hours for 40% more pay means TWICE as much pay per hour.

And they still say they’re “underpaid?”

Compared to who?

Their spirit friends?

If I have enough “spirit” friends I wouldn’t have to work at all!

I would have a whole spirit army.
Can I just be friends with the whole zodiac calendar and mourn the changing of the month with another month of paid vacation?
