Word of the Day: “Quotidian”

Definition of quotidian (adj)

  • Bing Dictionary
    • quo·tid·i·an
    • [ kwō tíddee ən ]
    1. commonplace: of the most ordinary everyday kind
    2. done daily: done or experienced on a daily basis
    3. recurring daily: describes a fever that recurs or flares up every day

I ran across this today in relation to a Smithsonian article on Stonehenge. As in “Stonehenge was perhaps not the site of quotidian religious ceremonies, but rather a Sarcred Graveyard.”

Well ya learn something new every day!
