Trusting Criminals

When you boil it down to brass tacks, that’s all “gun control” laws do. They are different than other laws such as a law against murder or a law against stealing.
The problem with a gun control law is that by its nature it INHIBITS the ability of the citizens to defend themselves. A murder law doesn’t stop you from avoiding being murdered. A law against theft doesn’t stop you from locking up your valuables.
While the criminals may breaks these laws (they ARE criminals after all); you are not stopped from protecting yourself.
With “gun control” laws you ARE. So, the thinking must logically be two-part:
a) YOU as a citizen can’t be trusted.
b) CRIMINALS are trustworthy to obey the law.
Makes perfect sense doesn’t it?
Like I said, common sense isn’t.
