Officer Runs Down Bicyclist While Driving and Checking Email on Laptop- NO CHARGES FILED

Dear Governor Cuomo, NYS Senators and NYS Assemblypersons,

I’ve seen this OVER AND OVER AND OVER. There are always cops talking on cell phones and typing on computers.

IT HAS TO STOP!

If I can’t be trusted to talk, text and type while driving then neither can any police officer. Human beings are the SAME. You don’t put on a badge and suddenly gain the power to NOT look at the road while driving.

We trust our law enforcement officials to set an example to everyone else. How can we be punished for things that they do routinely with tragic results?

It’s unfair, immoral and should be illegal.

I’m not asking for much. Just make them accountable for their actions the same as we are.

FOLLOW THE SAME LAWS THAT WE DO.
